Sport watches are one of the most popular choices for first time buyers. They’re good looking, functional and are able to survive harsh conditions (especially if you keep bumping your wrist into things). So lets talk about sport watches!

Sport watches don’t necessarily mean dive watches, a sport watch can have a chronograph, it can be a GMT like a Rolex GMT-Master II or a Yacht-Master for that matter. Speaking of Rolex, did you know that Rolex made the first water-resistant watch (Rolex Oyster? And to demonstrate how great they are at marketing, they put the watches in fish tanks in their booths and the watch remained working!

So lets go back to sport watches, they can be worn pretty much anywhere, because they survive that much. Richard Mille is one of the most popular brands selling sports watches nowadays. They design their watches with exotic materials of extreme light weight to ensure that their watches remain comfortable and functional to their wearers.

Car racers also have their own watches made for them. Rolex (again) contributed to sport watches by creating the cosmograph, it’s a tachymeter on the bezel with a chronograph on the dial. Racers can time their laps while driving, and feeling proud looking at their Rolexes to boost their sense of victory.

I can talk about sport watches for days, but you get it. Sport watches are meant to be this way, functional as ever. As other examples, pilots get GMT watches, people that work in labs get watches with high resistant against magnetic fields, mountain climbers get watches with high pressure resistance and the list goes on and on.
